Background
MULTI'FLO is a home care company working in people's homes, in Lyon and the surrounding area. Before this project the business ran on word of mouth. Enquiries came in by phone, on a recommendation from a client or a relative, with nothing online to pick them up.
The company was short of neither credibility nor clients. It was simply that someone looking for home help nearby had no way of coming across it.
What was needed
The services had to be set out clearly enough that one read tells you what the company does and what it does not. The site also had to say where the company works, since that is the first question anyone looking locally asks. And a quote request had to be possible without picking up the phone, including on a Sunday evening.
On top of that came one simple constraint: the team had to be able to fix a sentence or add a service without coming back to me.
What was delivered
A WordPress brochure site, with one page per service, a page setting out the coverage area, and a quote request form that lands straight in the company's inbox.
Alongside those, the pages the law requires (legal notice and privacy policy) and local search, handled through the structure of the site rather than bolted on afterwards.
Technical choices
WordPress was the obvious base, since the services change, the copy moves, and the team wanted their hands on it. No page builder, though. The theme was written from scratch, which avoids the dozens of scripts those plugins carry and keeps the site fast on a phone over 4G.
Local search was handled through the structure itself: one page per service, the coverage area named where it is honest to name it, clean tags, and structured business data written into the pages' own markup. Performance and accessibility were checked before launch, not after.
Since then
The client runs the content. They add a service or fix a sentence whenever they want, without going through me.
Maintenance and local SEO support can be taken on if they want them, but the site works without.
