Local SEO in Lyon

Local SEO in Lyon: set up in every site, followed every month

Most of the people who will find you on Google do not know your name. They type what they need and a place: “locksmith Lyon 3”, “caterer Tassin-la-Demi-Lune”, “physiotherapist near me”. Local SEO is the work of making sure you come up at that moment, rather than a competitor three streets away.

I do not sell it separately. The set-up is included in every site I build, and the follow-up is part of maintenance from the Essential plan upwards. Your access, your content and your data stay yours.

included in every site Indicative timeline: monthly follow-up in maintenance

What “local SEO” actually means

On a “trade + town” search, Google shows a map with three business profiles first, then the classic results underneath. The first ground is won with a complete profile, recent reviews and an address that matches everywhere on the web; the second with pages that answer the question precisely.

What Google looks at does not change much from one year to the next. A business profile that is filled in and alive, reviews you reply to, a fast and clear site that says where you work, and a few local links: trade directories, federations, neighbourhood press, partners. I have no secret recipe to sell you, and nor has anyone else.

What is done when the site is built

Before the first line of code, we choose together the searches to target: your trade, your services, the towns where you work. Each page targets one of those searches, with a title, a description and structured data written for it.

The Google Business Profile is completed and linked to the site, the sitemap is submitted to Google, and the site is delivered fast and readable on a phone, two things Google looks at closely.

What is done every month, in maintenance

From the Essential plan, I watch the indexed pages, the errors Google reports, speed and positions on the targeted searches. I adjust when the results call for it: a title that does not come up, a missing page, a broken link.

On the Comfort plan, a quarterly review sums it all up for you, along with the site's traffic and the pages that work best.

Going further

Some trades need more: strong competition on your keywords, a wide area, a launch. Regularly published content or a tightly bounded Google Ads campaign can then make the difference. That support is quoted separately, according to your goals. The advertising budget, if there is one, is billed directly by Google.

How it works

01

Keywords, at scoping

We start from your trade and your area to choose the searches to target. They shape the page plan.

02

Set-up, during the build

Tags, structured data, Google profile, sitemap, speed: everything is in place on launch day.

03

Follow-up, every month

Indexed pages, errors, positions and speed watched as part of maintenance, with adjustments when needed.

04

Review, every quarter

On the Comfort plan: SEO, traffic and the pages that work, with what I suggest next.

Common questions about local SEO

The Google profile moves fast: a few weeks are enough to see an effect on calls. For the site, expect one to three months for the first local positions, and around six months for them to settle.

No. The set-up is included in the price of the site and the follow-up in maintenance. Only further support (regular content, Google Ads campaigns) is quoted separately.

Not necessarily. If the current site is fast, readable on a phone and editable, I can take it on in maintenance and fix its SEO. A quick audit settles the question and tells you what each of the two routes would cost.

No, and nobody honestly can: Google neither sells nor promises a position in organic results. What I do guarantee is the work actually done, the follow-up that measures it, and being told when a target is out of reach.

Everything stays yours: the Google profile, the content, the work done on the site and every access, which has been in your name from the start. The positions you have gained do not vanish overnight; they erode if nobody looks after the site any more.
